Carmen Jorda became a Lotus F1 Team Development Driver during the 2015 Formula 1 season. She has been professionally racing since she was only 12. Early on in her career, Carmen managed to achieve three podium finishes in the European Formula 3 Open series category. She then joined the Andersen Racing 1 team and competed in the American Lights Championship. And in 2012, she signed with the Ocean Racing Technology team before joining Lotus.
